Happy National Rosé Day!

Hey, readers! My favorite wine is here to shine, and I have my top picks from Trader Joe’s for a perfect, hot summer day of wine tasting! I love the wine department at Trader Joe’s because of the vast selection of worldwide vineyards and the extremely reasonable prices - Trader Joe’s is the perfect place to stock up for a dinner party or any larger gathering like book clubs, game nights, or backyard BBQs. Their selection hosts a number of delicious wines at a wonderful range of prices.

Giardino Pinot Grigio Vivace Rosé

The first wine on my list is a beautiful light and crisp rosé from the Veneto region of northern Italy. Notes of green apple and ripe pear, this $5.99 bottle is great with seafood dishes like white fish and crab legs. The delicate effervescence of this wine is wonderful for al fresco entertaining - it’s not bubbly, but it has a little tickle on the palate.

Le Portes de Bordeaux Rosé

This is a crisp and dry rosé from the Bordeaux region of France. With a hard hint of strawberry and citrus, this wine is perfect for a spritz - I add some sparkling water to about half a glass of wine and top it with a squeeze of lemon. At $7.49, this is a great wine to bring as a hostess gift to any summer gathering - a big flavor that goes a long way. I especially love this one paired with hard cheese and charcuterie meats.

Maison Barboulet Cinsault Rosé

This rosé is seldom found at my local TJ’s, but when I see it, I definitely buy more than one bottle. With a ticket price of $6.99, this French rosé is produced from the Cinsault (“SAN-soh”) grapes known for their spicy and smokey, yet medium notes of red fruits. I have only ever had this bottle as is to enjoy in the sun but I feel like it would pair nicely with a citrusy salad or a lovely French stew.

Emma Reichart Pinot Noir Rosé

A Trader Joe’s exclusive and a super affordable $5.99, this bottle was a first for me - I love discovering new rosés to add to my wine faves. A German rosé from the cool-climate Rheinhessen region, citrus and light fruit notes pull together for a lovely finish and a big flavor for pink wine.

Opaline Pinot Noir Brut Rosé

An absolute marvel, this is one of my favorite favorite wines from TJ’s per the recommendation of my mother. At $8.99 a bottle, it is my go-to hostess gift for any gathering, any time of the year, because of its versatility and elegant bottle. The lively bubbles provide a touch of effervescence without having the heaviness of a champagne. The PERFECT daytime, summer rosé, I love sitting on the patio and sipping on this amazing aperitif.
